The safety and well-being of our members and employees is without doubt, our top priority. We are actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are taking steps to help keep our staff and communities safe.
As we all adjust to new precautions, I want to highlight a few actions we are taking:
Giving you options for local wine delivery
We understand that you may be relying more on food & beverage delivery right now. Alcohol delivery needs to be received by someone 19 years of age or older. For everyone's safety we will just ask for your name rather than obtain a signature with deliveries done by our staff drivers. A full list of delivery locations we cover can be found here. If you're outside these regions, your order will be shipping via UPS or Canadapost.
We provide drivers with disinfectants to help them keep our vehicles clean. We also provide hand sanitizers to our drivers to use between deliveries.
We already disinfect and sanitize our delivery vehicles using industry-approved products and have also introduced hospital-grade Clorox Wipes and Spray to our cleaning processes internally.
We are closely monitoring the guidance by the World Health Organization and CDC and other public health organizations, and taking actions recommended. We are also encouraging our team members to take any signs of illness seriously and seek medical attention as needed.
Importantly, the WHO and U.S. CDC have stated that the likelihood of the COVID-19 virus contaminating cardboard or other shipping containers is low. If there is a concern, disinfecting the shipment or using protective apparel when unboxing will reduce the risk of exposure.
I hope this gives you confidence in the actions we are taking on your behalf. We remain committed to providing you a safe delivery process and thank you for your continued support.
